January 2012 Andy heads to San Antonio and meets Ruth Venegas while giving music lessons. He mentions a gig, she mentions a drummer- Felipe Garcia. Felipe blindly agrees to play and he mentions a credited bass player- Marc Lopez. He agrees too. Us four (and a few others, who unfortunately never made it out alive) played at La Tuna...very sloppy, half drunk, and unrehearsed. But people danced so we decided to keep this project going. Thats where the beginning of Via Nevada started. Now we're in the process of recording our first DIY "full band" record and looking to spread our sound far and wide.
