Philadelphia native Marcus Harmon, age 28, performing under the name "Marcus Harmony" started singing in a church choir at age 9. At age 14 he started singing, writing r&b music and rhyming with rappers in his neighborhood. Heavily influenced by artist such as Al Green, Otis Redding, Maxwell and a host of others Marcus Harmony started seriously focusing on his craft in 2003. After meeting and training with his vocal coach "Range" he was introduced to producer Scott "Scottish" Carter. Motivated by Scott's enthusiasm for Marcus' emotional delivery of songs that depict his real experiences the two of them started recording songs. Marcus has been performing at open mic venues throughout Philadelphia amazing audiences with his ability to perform cover songs of many genres. Today Marcus is working on his first album with an (ep) to be released sometime in april 2013. It is a very anticipated project being released on indie label 58 Street Records. CEO of 58th Street Records "Gruff" plans to promote urban hit "Backwards Crawl" as side (a) and pop-alternative hit "Jump off a Building" as side (b). Four other songs will also be on the (ep) which are "Goodmorning , I Love You", "Get It Started", "Let Me Go" and "Model For My Video".
