Mark started playing music growing up in Atlanta, GA. He has since been involved in numerous projects ranging from acoustic groups to hard-rock and jam bands. Since moving to Aspen in 2005, his emphasis has moved from playing guitar in bands to singing and songwriting. In 2009, he formed the duo Hurricane Carter with drummer/percussionist TJ Gleave and a unique, loop-based sound was created. After TJ's departure to Chicago, Mark opted to go solo with the project, taking the sound in a new direction.
Mark's music is a modern take on the one-man band. He utilizes vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, ukulele, live percussion, and loops to provide a wide variety of music ranging from laid back acoustic songs to high energy electro-rock. He has shared the stage with acts such as Perpetual Groove, Devon Allman, Adrian Belew, Reverend Jeff Mosier, Umphrey's McGee, Matt Abts of Government Mule, and local favorites Jes Grew, among others.
