Trey and the band is currently working on writing new songs to add to their one produced single, LIVE LOUD, which is available for download on all the digital media sites. The future is bright for these talented young musicians! HISTORY: Trey Teem is a multi-talented 19 year-old from Forsyth, Georgia. He purchased his first guitar in 2009 with a savings bond that had been a gift when he was a baby. Trey took to the guitar naturally but he also took lessons from Matt Pippin, another noteworthy local musician. His love for his new Stratocaster, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jimi Hendrix quickly transformed into his amazing ease and talent for his acoustic-electric guitar, southern rock, country and gospel music. Trey also discovered his voice with his music and began singing and playing in a local church “The Sanctuary”, in Forsyth.
In 2011, as his confidence and collection of guitars, amps, microphones, and speakers started to enable him to play small venues solo, he needed to start “paying dues” as Matt put it. So it was time for Trey to go to work doing what he loved.
In 2012, Trey started playing small venues in the Macon area such as “The Dawg House”, “Jonah’s on Johnston”, "Billy's Clubhouse", “Wild Wings”, “Shooters” in Gray, “Mellow Mushroom” in Macon and he played for the “116th Air Control Wing’s Family Day” at Robins AFB.
He started off 2013, by participating in the Georgia-Country.com’s talent search at “The Flying Machine” in February and then in March, he formed his own band that included younger brother Clay Teem on bass, Steven Taylor on guitar and Joshua Reese on drums. The Trey Teem Band entered and WON the “ECHO, Battle of the Bands” in Macon. They won studio time, a little cash and got to be the opening band for “KJ-52”! The studio time was utilized recording their first single “Live Loud”, which was written by Trey and is now available for download on Reverbnation, Itunes, Amazon and other on-line music sites.
Trey recently returned from his first trip to Nashville. He rocked venues on the strip such as, The Stage, Honkey Tonk Central, Tootsies and played his very first Nashville gig at Rippy's on Broadway. He is currently writing and collecting new songs that we hope to have recorded and released in the near future.
Don’t miss a show if he is playing a venue near you!
