We are a metal/rock band based in West Yorkshire. We have been together since Oct 2012 and are currently planning a tour for our new album, Memoirs Of A Serial Killer which is due out on the 1st april . We are compared to a heavy Paramore and our influences are vast from glam in the 80's such as Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper to name a few but more recently NIN, Alice In Chains, Black Label Society and Black Stone Cherry. Throw all these into a blender and you get Manns Best Friend. The band was created by bass player Naffmann and lead guitarist Gareth Milner seven years ago but due to commitments on both parts it never happened. In October 2012, Naffmann approached Gareth again and the magic began! Recruiting Kriss Witherkae on rhythm guitars and chief harmonies was a no brainer! We new Kriss could make any song melodic and write great hooks for some pretty heavy and down right dirty riffs. As we wanted to keep it heavy and yet catchy, Naffmann went deep into his past to find death metal drummer Sharif Dyson. Currently only playing drums 21 hours of the day, he said he could fit us in and even though not his first choice of death metal, Sharif is one of the main promoters of the band through his contacts in the music business, throwing everything into writing this album and promoting it. To complete the family after many auditions, male and female, no one really fit the bill or knew how we wanted the music to sound. After about 6 months of searching, a ghost from Gareth's past came out of the closet. Dana Amos contacted Gareth to say hi. Having just left her last project, Gareth talked to her about the band and she was excited to audition. We had three auditions that week and she was the first. We asked her to write a melody to the haunting ballad Close Out The Light (featured on the forthcoming album) having only a guide vocal from Naffmann to go on. As main writers for the band, Gareth and Naffmann were interested to see what she would do with it. Her only instruction, make it your own! After hearing what she did with it, Naffmann and Gareth were sold and the band was complete.
