MOSQUITO DICK is a rock band from Vancouver, BC comprised of the Mintenko brothers, Matthew (vocals) and Jason (guitars, vocals) and Kyle Arellano (bass) and Stefan G (drums). The Mintenko brothers duo began singing together at an early age in church. Jason received his first guitar at the age of 10 years old. The brothers are inspired by their late grandfather and recording artist George Mintenko. MD's influences include Megadeth, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Dimebag Darrell, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Label Society, Ted Nugent, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Lang, The Doors and Alice Cooper. MD bring raw vocals and a raw guitar sound that is genuine and true, unaltered and unaffected by today’s technological devices. MD’s off the floor recordings is the same true sound as their live performances. MD carries on the traditions of hard rock and blues.

Many have asked, why "Mosquito Dick"?

Firstly we don't care what Haters think. How are you supposed to enjoy your life when you're always worried about what people think about you. Have you ever been discouraged or underestimated before?Have you ever been judged like a book's cover before people even know who you really are?

There is always going to be people hating you for whatever reason. We Love haters. Humble Pie. And besides if you don't find the name even mildly funny, your obviously taking life too seriously. Have fun, live life.

Mosquitos are also one of the leading killers in the world, second only to HIV / AIDS in Africa. A child dies needlessly from malaria every minute.Together we can stop this. Get involved today @ www.malarianomore.org
Can you honestly tell me that Mosquitos aren't little Dicks.

Peace Out.
