Disengaged is a Heavy- Death Metal band, and we want to show people how big of a meaning we have. We love playing music, and being musicians cause we all have run into problems, leaving us with only music to be on our sides. We are looking forward to taking our careers to another level and progressing on every album that we make. We are all extremely committed to our music and our fans, and music is our lives and will do anything and knock out anyone in our way to achieve it and we are ultimately just looking for our big break. Drummer Dylan Dawes grew up around different genres of music throughout his life and eventually discovered bands such as Slipknot, Metallica, Disturbed and Korn leading to a fascination towards music. His father Kent Dawes was a drummer inspiring Dylan to pick up the hobby himself one Christmas when he received his first drum set ever since than he has played mostly drums. Guitarist Brandon Smith wanting to learn guitar started with a fender Starcaster and lets definitely say it took off from there. The band Disengaged was founded by Drummer Dylan Dawes and former Bassist Aaron Brancheau in mid 2008. The idea had come across in a gym class which they had together while attending Elk Ridge Middle School when they were throwing around the idea of the jamming sometime. Both members were already playing around with music with friends Marc Healey and McCabe Johnson(Former drummer of Cherish The King). Dylan and Aaron eventually quit jamming with McCabe and Marc and focused on their band which than was known as Nitro Corpse. Aaron and Dylan were only the rhythm section and needed a guitarist and singer. They had both searched around finding Kasen Guymon on guitar and Alexis Penny on vocals, which were both Dylan's long time friends. This line up obviously didn't turn out very well and eventually Alexis, not coming to practice was kicked out. We than recruited Marc Healey (bassist for Rejoin The Team) on guitar later on. Due to trust issues and musical differences Marc was let go as well. Dylan and Aaron at that time had gone over every musical idea they could such as band logos, show set ups, t-shirts and album names. They had everything they needed. All the songs were written but only problem was, they didn't have the band line up needed to do that. Eventually in 2009 they found the miracle they needed and discovered Brandon Smith. Brandon Smith was found by Dylan in a math class that they had together. Instantly, Dylan knew right away that Brandon was the man for the job. Brandon auditioned with not very much experience but eventually came back, and ever sense that point the bands chemistry was amazing working well together and their music styles blended great resulting in the real start of the band Disengaged.
Later on in late 2011, Aaron Brancheau was removed from the band line up due to reasons that were never justified, but were obvious that his feelings toward the band were not the same. Disengaged wishes the best for him and his music career, and want to thank him for his good moments and everything that he once did for the band. Disengaged will continue to move on with or without him, and things will keep going from there. After Aaron was removed, Disengaged recruited Vocalist, Jake "Blade" Winkworth. Jake "Blade" also playing lead guitar for his main band, Arsenal of Destruction, has played shows with Disengaged in the past and at one performance he did guest vocals with Disengaged, performing a cover song called, "Psychosocial" by Slipknot, and was recognized by the band, and was later on added to the band lineup. After Jake was added to the lineup, Disengaged found bassist, Beau "Phoenix" Midgley, being the brother of drummer Dylan "Demon" Dawes, girlfriend. Beau "Phoenix" Midgley being added to the line up, later on introduced Chase Williams, who has also been added to the lineup as the Rhythm Guitarist. Once having a full lineup, they started work on the EP album, "The Path To Hell" which was released on June 19, 2012 getting ready to finish off their first full length album called, "Hazardous". In the middle of recording their EP album, Disengaged felt that they wanted to change vocal styles and take it to another level and remove Jake Blade from the lineup and welcome Dez Troy to the band. Dez is the man behind vocals on the EP and so forth.
