DRUEX KAINE / Bio

Druex Kaine born Damon Lacey is an American HipHop/R&B artist and Music Producer from Alabaster, Al currrently residing in Birmingham, Al. Kaine started his rap career at age 12 joining his older brothers Gospel Rap Group and continuing to puruse his rap career until the age 16 when he decided to continue to focus on being a drummer which he had played since the age of nine. Druex pronounced "Drew" decided to go with the name change from Don Art-iste to Druex Kaine in May of 2012. Druex states he is called both names from which people know of, Along with being an Artist Druex plays Drums,Piano and is a Music Producer, which he has been since 2004. Druex Kaine states that his name is Iconic and felt that the name will bring about the attention that is needed to be set apart from the names of todays Artists. Druex Kaine also sings some of the hooks or choruses that he writes for himself and other artist that he works with, he feels that puts him in an R&B category but his music is Hip Hop. Having come from a musical background his older brother introduced him his first recording studio in his brothers home later in an actual building built as a studio. Druex Kaine works along with R.I.M.M. Nation "Rising Icons Multi Media as well as having his own production company SoundMynd Music. Druex Kaine is an creator who loves music, who also knows how to make his own music sound like he wants it. His dad being an Trumbone player and his older brother being an Artist and business man in music he knows that music is his true calling. He is purusing his musical career as an Music Producer and Artist. He is currently working on an EP titled "Self Right3ous" which is due to be relased in July 2013.
