Ripe Red Apple is a blues rock band about passion. Inspired by the great roots musicians of the early 1900s, the band's soul lies in the hypnotic riff-and-rhythm emphasis of northern Mississippi hill country music and revels in a bulletproof loyalty to the fire within. Singer Gaia and guitarist Gonzalo formed the foundation of Ripe Red Apple when they met in the streets of Valparaiso, Chile in 2008. In 2013 they moved to Portland, Oregon, where they recorded their first LP, self-titled and all-original, which they proudly released independently on August 12, 2014. Ripe Red Apple now boasts the talents of Gaia Lyle on voice, Gonzalo Villa on guitar, Christopher Benson on guitar, and Alexandra Geffel on drums.
