Beniman (AKA Benjamin Hagen Saloga, in 1988 in Munich, Germany) is a very talented young Reggea Artist. Although Beniman grew up in Germany, he learned his mother tongue Jamaican Patois fluently, from his mother of course, but also during regular visits to Jamaica. At the age of 10 Beniman was invited by Buju Banton to come on stage during a concert in Munich. This was a great influence towards his decision to become a Reggae Artist too, such as Buju Banton, Garnett Silk, Everton Blender, Dean Fraser, Bob Marley, Sizzla, Capleton, Anthony B and Gentleman, which were the most important stars during his childhood. At the Age of 12 Beniman began writing lyrics in form of poems. He was very committed to get better step by step and to reach people in his environment with his positive message. In 2006 Beniman recorded his first Demo CD titled 'Righteous Movement', which was his first recording using Jamaican lyrics, on riddims produced by Roughcut Studio Munich, which was founded by Beniman's parents, Sista Miriam and Papa Scorcher.
He gained musical experience during his first live performance on a sound system in Jamaica in 2007 and during shows in Munich clubs, such as e.g. Babalu, in 2009 and 2010. Since then he has been writing lyrics, singing and composing tunes continuously with all his energy and the power of the 'Almighty Jah'.
Since middle of 2011 Beniman's tunes, such as 'Nough Girls', 'This Me Feel' and 'Give Me the Night' are regularly played on Stylz Fm, Portland's No. One Reggae Station in Jamaica. In 2012 Beniman's debut ALBUM titled 'Up Against Them!' was released under the 'Roughcut Production' label. This Album comprises his most comprehensive work so far, in which Beniman shows his capability to reflect social and economic problems in our world and his attempt to encourage people to change things in a positive way. Beniman is a talented, honest and spiritually driven personality with a lot of love to give to all people of this Earth.
Beniman says about himself:
'My faith lies in the hands of Jah Rastafari. My journey to spread the word of Jah has just began'.
