Indie Folk pairing.
Songwriting & home recording act with very occasional gigs in North and East London.
Ghost of A Girl EP coming soon. Watch this space.
Started out as SULK in 1993 but due to recent bombardment of London gig updates for another band called Sulk (formed 2010/11) we have recently renamed this page as SULK 93.
We are guitar based partners Kim Watson & Angie Hillcoat who formed in 1993 for a gig at the Angel Cafe bar in Islington for which they were paid a small cash fee, a lasagne & beer each!
Gigs since have been limited to private parties for friends. With only two exceptions: In 2004 Kim did a solo acoustic gig at Downbeat Nick @ Bodrum Cafe Stoke Newington the set included a few Sulk classics and some covers too.
A year later both Kim and Angie returned to this venue as Sulk to performed an acoustic set of five songs which was recorded by the promoter.
Between then and 2008 Watson wrote and recorded two albums: Sulking Heads 07 and Sulk 08, Plus the April Fooling' EP
In 2008 a new direction was taken on the gigging side. Sulk discovered Ukeleles and performed 80s tributes and folk sets at various 40th & 50th birthday parties.
Meanwhile more new material emerged via home recorded albums Martha, Acoustic Sulk, Stop Making Stuff "n" Nonsense and Got A Feline.
