In the beginning, there were two. Two became four. Four distinctly different souls with different perspectives joining together to "do to Bluegrass what Kurt Cobain did to Metal." The focus is on creating a sound and atmosphere which will "take back" and revitalize the communal aspects of LIVE music performance. The kind of scene where every song of every show is a one-of-a-kind, one-time-only version that can only be produced in that moment. Borrowing the improvisational aspects of Jazz and reworking them into a rock format somewhere between roots Americana and the Blues, with subtle hints and textures of funk, punk, space and prog accentuating the journey. Original music is the real focus of Dark Hollow and each month garners more homegrown material on which the band draws during its performances.
