Young, reckless, and totally out of control were the words that Gregory heard as a young man, he knew it was true, all true. Besides all that every young black man has a story to tell but not many of them live to tell their testimony. So let’s rewind the clocks of time a little bit. I would like to Introduce to you , yes you the reader and the rest of the world to Mr.GP aka God’s Plan better known as Gregory Rondall Peeples. GP was born, Winston Salem North Carolina On December 28, 1979 Raised by a single mother forced to grow up at the tender age of 17 years old. Soon to follow was his two sisters. He did have a step father to raise them, but church was not an everyday thing for his family, the only time he seen the church was when a family member pasted away or when vacation bible school was available. Gregory had always heard from his grandmother that God would always make a way for him “Let go and let God” she says. He would agree with her, tell her he loved her, and go about his way not really understanding what was told to him. He never knew how God was ordering his steps all the way to salvation the only thing on his mind was getting high drunk and hustling. His interest in music started as early as 12yrs old playing the trombone listening to Classical, Funk, R&B, Jazz and even Rock then he was introduced to hip hop that’s when he went out and brought his first cassette tape at a store called peaches music not far from his parents apartment as he walked home he popped that tape in his walk man and started to immolate the rapper. And at the age of 16 he found himself in love with rap music. He was introduced to free-styling by his cousin that was in a rap group his cousin soon left that group and they started their own crew. A neighborhood friend inspired him to start writing music. But not only was he introduced to free-style rapping, he was also introduced with the life style that came with being an inner city youth. After that things took off like a rocket and at the same time things came crashing like a comet. With that came the lifestyle of drinking, drugs, girls, and jail time.
In 2004 Gregory, established his label called Kinfolk of Mine Records. But still holding on to his troubled lifestyle things became worse for Gregory. After years of being in and out of trouble he surrendered his life to Christ in Dec 2009.
He joined the local church and with the help of Christ and his leaders he hasn't looked back since. Now with a new Name and a new look on life he has dedicated his life to prevent the youth and young adults from going down the wrong path. As he embark on a new journey, the true word of God will lead him and his listeners into the tender arms of the Father Jesus Christ.
