Hailing from such popular local bands such as 5 Minutes Alone, Dreams Die, Tranquilizer, and his current band DAKOTA BLACK, Neil has always put the music and the fans first. His "People don't say they're going to 'hear' a concert, they say they're going to 'see' a concert" mentality is the cornerstone of his interaction on stage with the audience. Starting as a drummer, he moved to the vocal spot in 5 Minutes Alone in the early 2000's and never looked back. He had found his niche, applying the same ruthlessly insane energy that he utilized behind the kit to his live set as the frontman. These days, the searing guitar attack of Steve Mannocchi, ripping low end provided by bassist Shane Scaramellino, and thundering drums courtesy of drummer Steve Baggot in his current band DAKOTA BLACK provide the perfect musical foundation upon which to build his powerful vocal harmonies and meaningful lyrics. “At the end of the day, I just wanna have a good time,” states Keeran. “The day we (the band) and the crowd are not having fun and taking everything, including ourselves, way too seriously, then it’s time to re-asses. Maybe pack it in?” A commendable goal, for sure. Leaving with one final snippet of wisdom, the singer says of the current scene, “Let’s all work together! Have a great time, do shows, have friggin barbeques! We got into music because we DIDN’T want to work, not to be completely stressed about our band/shows. It’s rock n roll, not rocket science!’
