Temperamental Falcons was conceived in late 2009 by Andy Schmitz and Jeff Coles Smith. Throughout 2010 they wrote and recorded a number of songs and ideas. In November 2010, Brian Richards, of Mountain Town Music in Park City Utah, heard an early version of Golden Days and invited them to play at the Sundance Film Festival 2011, opening for Stone Foxes and Holy Water Buffalo. With less than two months before the show and a handful of songs that could not really be performed by only two people Andy's wife Lisa joined lending her talent as a trained vocalist and keyboard player as well as Meghan and Chris Cameron. Meghan and Chris who at the time made up the band Hellcat Maggie brought ukelele, bass, vocals and a handful of songs that they had written. The current line-up of Temperamental Falcons was born. The band has been writing and recording since.
