Charli, Born as Charlene Hoard raised as a Chicago native, June 25, 1980, the second oldest of four sister's and one brother, Charli grew up in one of the roughest neighborhoods in the inner city, but despite her environment Charli was influence by a family filled with talent, rather it was Dancing, Art, or Music. Inspired by hearing her parents, along with relatives singing in the livingroom. Charli was always mesmerized by their voices, listening to them sing old favorites from their generation and before they're time, what Chicago Natives call "Dusties". Charli decided to take her singing serious by the time she was 16. Charli had been singing since she was as young as 9 years old, joining a church choir, Holy Family Catholic Church, a church that was home to a lot of young talented kids/teens alike in the 1960's through the 80's, which is known as the second oldest Church in Chicago Illinois and Historic church of which survive the Deadly Chicago fire. with the help of her father Charlene joined Holy Family church when she was 13 years old. Charli entered into a lot of talent shows, and would find herself coming into first place, making herself known in the neighborhood as a "Sanger" making her family not only known for dancing, but singing as well. Charli began singing for weddings, majority of the time a charge of free! Every since Charlene could remember, she always wanted to sing, being featured on collaboration with Rappers music, and Poets. collaborating with different Artist, helping to make they're music happen, and being promised the help would be returned for her. Charli realized that it would never happen relying on others, she started to make moves on her own, while still being highly requested to collab with because of her creative mind, and incredible voice, being compared to some of the Greats, like the late Great Whitney houston, Stephanie Mills, Mary J. Blige, and many more and though Charli was always flattered to be thought of as one of a kind, with those trendsetters, she refuse to be compared because she felt that she started a league of her own and doesnt agree but was and still is always grateful and never shy to admit that those women has influence and inspired her since a little girl growing up in the "Hood". Favorite quotes is from her mother " If You can sing Accapella, then you can Sang". her father would say, "Always listen to yourself,".
