Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Kirklin and Peggy Cross, Erin was destined to possess the music gene. After all, her father was the church musician at his father’s church, and her mother sang in the church choir and played the piano.
Erin began singing at age 4 with two of her sisters in their grandfather’s church. Years after Erin’s family relocated to Cleburne, Texas, she and her sisters were known as the Cross Sisters with their four brothers on the instruments. As the Cross Sisters pursued higher education, Erin became a soloist backed by the band Set Apart. In 2009, the band parted ways and Erin relocated to Chicago, Illinois, to further her musical aspirations.
Erin Cross’ voice is timeless and incomparable. The breadth of her smoky vocal tones is welcoming, vibrant, warm, sultry and refreshing. This songbird delivers a message to encourage and propel listeners who seek to fulfill their purpose.
Erin’s bold lyrics reach deep into your soul igniting faith, hope and love while taking you on a journey to an abundant life. When asked about her writing style, Erin states, “For me, the writing process is a confrontation of truth and grace. I always come to a place of acceptance and resolve in understanding the depth of God’s love for me and how important it is to acknowledge His truth in my heart, mind and circumstances.”
