Blue Line is a high energy all original blues/rock band consistently playing throughout the Chicagoland area since late summer 2012. After releasing their debut album Off The Rails (Recorded by Dave Uhrich) in the fall of 2012, Blue Line has gained a slew of local fans and has been gaining popularity at a rapid rate. Blue Line is already writing songs for their next album and isn't afraid to take the songs to the stage to get feedback from the crowd and fans.
Richard Anaston-Martinez, Dan Koby and Mike Smith first came together in 2003 after all knowing each other through other musical adventures. The attempt at getting Blue Line off the ground failed due to the paths that each one was on at the time. Through the years each has gained musical knowledge, skill, stage experience and song writing skills which they have brought to the table this time around. After acquiring bassist Michael Arnold and drummer Julian Rocha, Blue Line hit the ground running and hasn't looked back.
After almost a decade, the members of Blue Line have come together and united in a common goal of writing ass kickin' blues and rock while maintaining a live sound in the studio with attempting to keep the first or second take of every song with very little to no overdubs.
Blue Line takes pride in providing a very musical show incorporating theory based song writing and interaction between band members. At every show they give the crowd a sense of ease with every smile and laugh they share on stage while loving the experience of performing in front of them. Blue Line is not a nervous bunch, clutching their instruments for fear of hitting a wrong note, but rather quite the opposite! Great music, professional attitudes and having fun is what Blue Line is about and bring that to every song and every show!
There's no messing around!! On and off the stage, they get it done, and get it done right!!
