Gerald Collier is a singer/songwriter from Portland, OR. who's devastatingly dark and beautiful solo work started on C/Z Records who released his solo debut "I Had to Laugh Like Hell" in 1996. His self-titled major-label debut for Warner Brothers /Revolution followed in 1998. The EP "Low Tar Taste", a country flavored effort, appeared from Aces & Eights in 1999 to be followed by "Breakin' Down" in 2003 on Isota Records. A release of B-sides and Demos entitled "How Can There Be Another Day" was released in 2007 by In Music We Trust.
Gerald's music explores the troublesome side of relationships, drinking too much, and loneliness with outcomes yet determined.
Entertainment Weekly wrote "Gerald Collier filters his love-lorn tales through down cast, gritty songs that recall Neil Young at his most bummed out".
After a nine year break and not missing a beat, Gerald Collier's "Help Is On The Way" will be released in May on Hail The Sound Records.
