Kitchen Mick / Bio

Kitchen Mick is a Seattle-area singer/songwriter and former keyboardist for Seattle’s now defunct “The Ghetto Monks.” Infamous for their wild partying live shows and unique mixture of funk and rock, The Ghetto Monks disbanded in 2001.
10 years later, Kitchen Mick built his own home recording studio and over the last year has compiled a collection of over 25 songs soon to be released as two albums. These songs are a complete departure from the complex funk of the Ghetto Monks. Influences range from Bruce Springsteen to U2, Radiohead, Green Day, Jellyfish, and more. Topics range from the personal to political. Except for a few guest artists, all songs are written, performed, recorded and produced by Kitchen Mick.
