Eleven 11 is a grunge rock band founded by Shyam Raj G who upon seeing the number 11:11 frequently, took this as a sign to start a new musical project and later produced a 4 song concept EP with the theme of being broken down to be built again. The debut Ep was engineered in The Music Lab Orlando Florida and mastered by Dave Donnelly who was also the ears behind bands like Kiss, Toto, Journey, Aero Smith and more.
Eleven 11’s music combines influences from the 90‘s with odd time riffs, dynamic transitions and minor sounding melodies that resonate as a distinct delivery of passion and music combined. Lyrically, the songs are written with a mission to inspire a thought wave of positive change and a message of peace. With self sampled interludes and a variety of natural instrumentation on the EP, the journey began from giving out flyers on the streets of Orlando, to word of mouth and endless searching in order to assemble an array of quality live session musicians which included a violinist, cellist, oboist and even a choir for the self funded studio recording of the debut EP "Resurrect". To top it all, Shyam who wanted to test himself vocally as a musician, enforced a rule during the production where no auto tunes, electronic triggers, and creative editing were to be used despite the tight budget for the Eleven 11 “Resurrect” EP to produce a honest, natural sounding, musical experience for the listener.
In April 2012, Shyam relocated himself to find his dream with the name Eleven 11 in New York and has since been playing shows in Kingston, Woodstock, New Paltz, Rosendale, Saugetries and even The Bitter End and 116 MacDougal St in New York City where legendary artist such as Bob Dylan and many others once performed. The highlights of Eleven 11’s performances to date, were in the Florida Indie Music Festival in 2010, Florida Deland Music Festival 2011, Frozendale Daze Festival 2012 in New York and a student television guest appearance on the “Groovy Night Show” hosted by Full Sail University in 2011 among many other smaller venues in New York and Orlando.
Shyam Raj is also proudly supported by Gibson Guitars as a musician and was credited on CNNgo Singapore as “25 people in Singapore that mattered in 2009” with Singaporean parody rock band, Thambi K Seaow.
