Hey now, Wally Daniels came on to the scene on the Westside of GR in 1972. Holy wha really? Haha. I played with all the local country and rockers of the day. Played around the Westside and around up North, (You know...Howard City, Sand Lake, couple gigs with the young Randy Springer, etc.) Names like Taxpayers Club, Roberts Roost, Dominic’s, (actually Thick n Thin started the blues night there with Vic Belmonte, Herman Marshall, Pete Peterson, and Me), awesome times. After the passing of Vic, I connect with Kevin Griffin. He performed with Think n Thin and later joined forced to create Uurok. I had a 16 year old drummer back then for a while too,...Damon Schmitz, who is now part of Wally's nucleus "of a Work In Progress" blues band, along with Herman Marshall, hoping to bring aboard a couple other great players to be named later....W.I.P.....I am a Yooper by birth and troll by right. Born '54, Westside by '72, (except an almost 4 yr drunken tryst in the U.P. in the early eighties), but back in the Westside by '83, then played around the Westside again ...Happy Hour Bar was a regular gig, with Billy Richard, Teresa Haner, and Kristie Emmerson, we had a lot of fun.. I also did some three piecing, Red Line Band. Just knocked around west Michigan with different players and fill in gigs like Ed Spicer's Cross Country, with Vinnie and Rich...those guys were always fun, until I had to take a break to take care of a couple of my family with terminal afflictions...24/7 TLC for about 20 yrs....George and Cheryl are gone now and seeing I'm still here I've decided to take another run at the music scene here on the Westside GR. Hope to see ya out there ....
Peace n Serenity,
