Their music may vary slightly in genre from song to song, but their sound and emotion is unmistakable. You can find them playing the local college radio and playing various venues throughout Southern California both acoustically and with a full band. Each member has their part in writing songs and the end result is an epic yet soothing experience for the soul.
Citizens In Peril as you know them today began when Syren (vocals) answered Derek (Guitar/bass) and Kevin's (Bass/Guitar) ad on Craigslist of all places. After meeting and jamming the first time, they quickly realized this was possibly the greatest combo since the fantastic four, except so far there are only three plus guests to perform on stage.
Their mix of personalities makes for an enjoyable variety of songs within their own style with songs that lean towards pop-punk, and others leaning on the heavier side of alternative rock. While the energy is high, Syren's vocals remain melodic and sometimes a little haunting or mesmerizing and can bring a chill to your spine. Their quirky and sometimes dark sense of humor can be entertaining on and off stage, leaving you never knowing what to expect.
Since then the trio has spend their time together writing and recording songs, making their debut appearance at the stage of Dipiazzas in Long Beach in September of 2012. They enjoy the opportunity to share their music and talents thus it is no surprise you find them performing not only in the standard band venues, but house parties, college radio, and coffee shops as well. Today the group has reached its full potential reaching a 5 member count, though two of the members will be formerly introduced at upcoming shows.
