Curtis E. Campbell
Born and raised in North Texas, Curtis began playing guitar in his teenage years. He was influenced by great artists like Elvis and Chuck Berry. His later teens and early twenties were filled with the stylings of Poco, Steve Miller, Foghat, ZZTop and of course The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. He began playing and singing in local Southern Rock bands on and off through the 70’s then became an Award Winning Audio Engineer touring with some of the greatest artists of all time. He's toured with Aerosmith, Bob Seger, Julian Lennon, ZZTop, The Beach Boys, The Fix, Dokken, Willie Nelson, Bon Jovi and more, and finally with Guns N Roses in the early 90’s. Memorable moments from those times include playing and singing on stage to a packed house at the historical Warfield Theatre in Downtown San Francisco with none other than Julian Lennon singing along with him on one of Curtis' original compositions.
Curtis now owns a small industrial equipment business and enjoys writing, playing and singing songs more than ever. He is a member of the Fort Worth Songwriters’ Association and the DFW Master Songwriters group. His bluesy jazz and soulful Americana songs come straight from his heart to your ears. Some of his original compositions can be heard on the newly started website www.c2songs.com.
Curtis also plays with the newly formed band "The Crow Hill Drovers". Look for show dates coming soon.
