PleThorA / Bio

PleThorA started in Flint, Michigan in the fall of 2010 under a different name with the sole purpose of playing one show. None of the band members expected that the songs they wrote for that show would be as well received as they were, and none of could have realized the amount of fun there was to be had performing at a rock show. With songs about food, manatees, blind quadriplegic pirates, or who knows what else, the band changed their name to reflect their musical style and after a few lineup changes evolved into the high energy five piece comedy rock outfit that they are today.

PleThorA has played dozens of shows and has become a regular band at Flint’s Machine Shop, The Flint Local 432, and many of the local bars. With a unique, top quality sound that blends catchy rock songs with instrumental prowess and hilarious lyrics, their stage show is best described as ridiculous and is guaranteed to entertain every last member of the audience. They have shared the stage with Psychostick, Taproot, and many other exciting acts. Every single show is treated if it’s the last, as the band’s near excess of stage presence and exceedingly creative songwriting is guaranteed to make the audience laugh and ensure a good time among the entire crowd.
