The Edge, from U2 was once asked what exactly it was that made the difference between a band that was good... and a band that was truly great. His response was one word...
“The Upside of Maybe” is one of those bands that is best defined by that one word -> Chemistry.
When looking at the individual pieces in the group it would be easy to be impressed with their long list of accomplishments. In fact, between the 6 of them they have released over 21 nationally distributed projects, they have toured throughout North America, they opened for, or headlined with, well known “big name” artists, they’ve won a mantel full of prestigious awards for both their performance and songwriting skills and their music has appeared on both radio playlists and in various television shows and movies.
Those, however, are just the “pieces”... What really makes The Upside of Maybe a “great” band is the way that those pieces gel and come together to form one entity. In short, what makes The Upside of Maybe such an exciting band is their "chemistry".
The Upside of Maybe is an exciting pop/rock/roots band that has been entertaining and delighting fans across Southwestern Ontario this past year playing a truly unique blend of both original material and well loved covers.
In fact, the beauty of The Upside Of Maybe is truly their musical versatility.
They are a band that understands not only how to write and play great songs, but more importantly, how to use this material to really perform and entertain their audience. In short, their concerts are both fun and infectious.
In fact, they have been described as “the one listening experience that you will definitely want to repeat.”
Currently the band is working hard in the studio with award winning producer Andrew Horrocks putting the finishing touches on their first recording project tentatively titled “No Time For That...” which they hope to release sometime early in the New Year.
