Geedus is a St Louis area rock band that plays a mix of cover and original music. What sets them apart from the other cover bands is there ability to pull of the more technical radio tunes such as Avenged Sevenfold, Tool, and Alter Bridge but still keep the party going with covers from Buckcherry and Papa Roach. The band started in 1994 when a veteran bass player named Roderick "Frog" Howard answered an ad posted by founding members Jason Rapp and Chris Stoddard, two 18yr old guitarists who weren't very good but loved to play music. Over the course of the next 5 yrs Geedus jammed many a basement and bedroom with quite a few drummers, getting better every time. Finally, in 1999 brought Matt Pilcher, a young karaoke singer. Since then Geedus has played in many a establishment (some finer than others) playing your favorite radio rock as well as some of their own songs. In 2008, after several drummer changes (The Spinal Tap years), Geedus added a very talented drummer, Curtis Toler. 2010 brought yet another personnel change. Founding member Stoddard had to relocate and, with his help during the audition process, was replaced with an unbelievable talent in Ken Dennis and we are freakin jammin. Keep up with us here and on Facebook and we hope to see you at a show soon.
