This is the band formed originally as Overlorde and released a Demo Called "Medieval Metal" on Cassette first and sold over 10,000 copies on tour and in stores on consignment up and down the East Coast. The band was signed to Metal Blade Records with their song" Keeper of the Flame" showing up on Metal Massacre Vol VIII. the band went on tour and this signing opened the door for many opening slots for nationals such as KIX, Skid Row, Maddam X, Slaughter, Savatoge, to Warlock to mention a few.
The band did reunion shows and in 2011 was approached by Heaven and Hell Records to release the Metal Massacre Version and all the demo material that was never released on a CD titled "Medieval Metal Too" as Overlorde SR. This was a successful release for H&H Records but due to the label having issues with the name Overlorde SR the band changed the name to Overlord SR.
In 2014 Heavy Forces Records approached Overlord SR to released a black and clear vinyl LP titled "Medieval Metal Days-The Demo Years" Side A has all the CMC Studio 24 track 2" tape recorded demo songs, Side B has Overlord SR Hall rehersal recordings that were recorded on Cassette. This side all the tracks were recorded live to cassette, there is even a live concert track never heard before.
Heavy Forces authorized Overlord SR to release this LP on CD since Heavy Forces Records only does vinyl. The CD version is the same with one addition of a track13 a bonus track of the bands hit rerecorded digitally "Keeper of the Flame 2014". The CD is for Sale here on this site and the bands web site and Facbook Like page as well.
This current line up is Steven V. Sosa Jr. on Vocals, Wildman George Koerber on Guitar and Backing Vocals, Craig Dunham on Guitar and Backing Vocals, Bob Durocher on Bass and Zip on Drums.
The band has recorded New material at former member bassist Darrell Collins studio Sound Images Studios LLC of NC. This is New material for their New CD titled "Still Standing" and is being shopped to record labels in 2014.
The band is currently opening for nationals at festivals and large venues. Their stage show consist of a castle back ground where the backline is a castle wall with props from the medieval time period. This is a high energy opening band where one song ends the next one begins. You are transformed back to the "days of old when men wore metal and hearts were bold" Line from thier song "So Be It".
