From the ashes of brokenness we have arisen and now hold our heads high; breaking silence and declaring in a loud voice that we will go on, we will continue the journey.
Breaking Silence was formed in a time of brokenness when our family came together in music to heal our wounds. Over the years we have continued to use music to heal the wounds when times have been hard. We have had the pleasure of having two others join our family who share the same love for music and dedication to family. It is our hope that we can pass on this “healing” through the “story telling” lyric style and melodic overtones produced from the blending of all the instruments and vocals.
In the summer of 2007 Morey White (Dad), Tracey White (Uncle), Kaylee White (Daughter) and Morgan White (Son) came together to form Forsaken Glory. Morgan and Kaylee shared the role of lead singer while Morey played guitar and Tracey was on the drums. Soon after Morgan picked up the keyboards and Kaylee picked up the bass guitar. The band played a handful of gigs at local churches, bars and even Peterson Air Force base. Dan Breggin our sound engineer, voice of reason and wonderful friend, joined the band just before the Peterson Air Force base gig using his mystical talents on the audio system to create an incredible sound.
In the fall of 2011, Kaylee left the band to create and care for her own family. Kirk Chambers joined the band adding his incredible and unique sound on the bass to the band. It didn’t take long for Kirk to fit right in and become part of our musical family. It was at this point that we decided to change the name of the band to Breaking Silence. Over the first year the band concentrated on tightening up the music and performing as many shows as possible. They soon started writing and recording together which brings us up to the present. From here the band will continue their musical journey and continue Breaking Silence.
