Like fireworks during a summer thunderstorm, Home Body paints a dark sonic landscape punctuated with flashes of color, light, and movement. The synthesizer sizzles; the bass booms, crunches, and decays. A clear, bold voice marches through the sky and declares glitzy showers amidst soaring textured sounds and frenzied glitches.
The duo brings a fresh tangibility and punk edge to electronic-based music, delivering heartfelt stormy songs that playfully occupy the sonic space where humankind and machines mate. Home Body is as magnetic to watch as their music is infectious. Their high energy, animated performances include modern dance, creative costuming, and light manipulation, resulting in a feverish spectacle that amplifies their edgy and heartfelt sound.
Home Body has been called "shimmer core", "electronic soul", "post apocalyptic pop" and "performance art", but one thing is certain- Home Body is not just electronic music; it is music that is electric.
Since their inception in 2011, the duo has played over 250 shows all over America, opening up for acts such as Girl Talk, Marco Benevento, Shira E, Dan Deacon, and Fielded. In 2012 they were named "Best Unsigned Band" by Verbicide Magazine. Home Body's debut full-length album, In Real Life, was released in early 2013 by Feeding Tube Records.
