This Black/Columbian/Irish beauty is no stranger to large crowds or flashing lights. Whether on the “Catwalk” or in front of the camera Marie has been making her way to the top since she first stepped onto the Atlanta scene.
Born Candace Marie Harman, the only child of Charlene & David Harman, was destined for greatness from the start. Signing with her first modeling agency KID STARS, at the age of six, gave her; her first taste of the industry and fame. She began modeling apparel for local department stores, landing print jobs, dancing & singing in the church youth group, and taking acting classes. By her senior year of high school Marie had discovered her songwriting talent and joined a trio that sang and composed songs together. The Trio sang in front a hundreds at a benefit concert at NJPAC for schools in Africa. They also found themselves singing in front of Rand Levin, Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs for Universal Music Group (UMG). Upon graduating Marie’s family packed up and moved to Atlanta, GA.
Marie’s work has earned her notoriety and respect by being fierce on the Runway and whimsical in front of the camera. Thus becoming the face of The Vanity Project & clothing line Dukes & Dutchess. Signing a modeling contract in 2008 with Nspire Models. As well as working with names in fashion like Toni François, Derek Jae, Marco Hall, Thomas Dye, Dwight Eubanks and Cynthia Bailey. Her first studio recording landed her a spot as a feat, on Atlanta Rap Artist Waka Flocka Flames debut mix tape song “Down Ass Chick”. Who introduced her to Block n Roll Producer Big Fraze Beats, where Marie recorded her debut single “Boom Boom Kat”. Shorty after Marie formed an independent Production label DME with producer R (Willy Dutch) Norman. “Do, I aspire to be the best?
