Lenell Jerome Dinkins aka L-train was born October 6th, 1988. He is the fourth oldest of 5 children. He was introduced to hip hop at age five. The first song he ever heard was Public Enemy "Fight the power". He enjoyed the energy of the beat and Chuck D and Flava Flav. His older siblings often played hip hop in the house and he just listened with them. As the years passed he continued to rock with hip hop music, but it wasn't until July 4, 2005 that his journey as an emcee began.
Its been 7 years since then and he is now setting up to make his place in the hall of rap. His style is smooth, clever, and raw at the same time. With his content spanning from the usual fly and charismatic approach to rapping about economic, social, and emotional issues. Showing his versatily and creativity. With a nice flow, slick metaphors, punchlines, and lyrics to accomodate his message. L-train appears to be about his music and getting his point across in his own words. This Locomotive is headed down the right track. So grab ya boarding passes and take a trip on the L-train. Destination the next great artist to arise on the scene
