We started out as a bunch of guys with a bunch of guitars. That pretty much tells you where this thing is going. Buffalo Jump is a guitar-driven group, cranking out country rock, southern rock, classic country, blues, and other stuff we just happen to like (such as Prince). Featuring smooth guitar rhythms blended with classic lead pickin’ by Jim, hot electric slide and rhythm guitar by Eric, Dan laying down seriously fat (and phat) bass lines, and tight percussion from Brian and Aaron, we play music that just feels good. If you want a better notion of what we’re doing, here’s a list of songs in heavy rotation at the moment:
Keep Your Hands to Yourself – Georgia Satellites; Roadhouse Blues – Doors; Take It Easy – Eagles; A Little Less Conversation – Elvis Presley; Call Me the Breeze – Lynyrd Skynyrd; Viva la Vida – Coldplay; The Waiting – Tom Petty; Enter Sandman – Metallica; Hurts So Good – John Mellencamp; Use Somebody – Kings of Leon; Tush – ZZ Top; Rocky Mountain Way – Joe Walsh; Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap –AC/DC; Werewolves of London —Warren Zevon; Hard to Handle – Black Crowes; She Thinks I Still Care – George Jones; Cocaine Blues – Johnny Cash; Desire – U2; Hoochie Coochie Man – Muddy Waters; Tequila Sunrise –Eagles; Raspberry Beret – Prince; Green River – CCR; Feel Like Makin’ Love – Bad Company Free Bird –Lynyrd Skynyrd; Lyin’ Eyes – The Eagles; Sweet Home Chicago; Your Cheatin’ Heart – Hank Williams; Bad Moon Rising – CCR; Pink Houses – John Mellencamp; Centerfold – J.
