They say there ain’t nothing good in these streets. They say people ain’t really doing anything positive… That’s exactly why HolyCulture.net began organizing the DROP CD. The DROP CD is a free seventeen track project with fifteen groups/artists from across the US and as far away as Japan. We simply aim to spread the gospel of Jesus…first though love, then by hip-hop/rap. The project includes tracks from artists such as Benjah (GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning) & Dillavou, Yaves, Urban D and more. To date, the DROP CD has been distributed digitally to more than 3,000 people and physically to over 2,000 across the world. MESSAGE
The DROP CD offers an alternative to music that glorifies violence, drugs and the degradation of women. You won’t have to worry about your kids listening to this project. It provides a message of hope and freedom without sacrificing the craziest beats and bars. The project may force the listener to reflect on their life and its purpose with lyrics like, “He’s resurrected / Proven He’s mighty to save / Look, you could die any day / Get what I’m trying to say? / Even though you’ve lied, hated & done wrong / He can make it all right, this is MORE THAN A SONG!” (Dillon Chase / Good Person) This project is more than an album; it’s about life and death, good and evil, heaven and hell.
