Skygazers / Bio

In 2010 Marc Golding was invited by one of his childhood friends to stay at his place during the summer's Montreux Jazz Festival, having now the opportunity to be at such a prestigious event inspired Marc tremendously. The result of that was the beginning of his new style that he calls Electro-Jazz and the birth of Skygazers. Blending music from his roots in Haiti and contemporary Funk, Jazz, and Electro-Beat, their performances groove the soul and body and always raises the energy in the room. The music affords the listener the chance to hear improvisational music again in a new and uplifting way. Through experimenting, and testing their songs for audiences in the US and Europe, they defined their sound: ELECTRO-DIGI-FUNK-JAZZ. Skygazers aims at making Jazz part of “Dance Music” again!

Infused with Break-Dance and Funk inspired drum beats, soulful Acid-Jazz synth sounds, Jazz and Funk keyboards, enriching melodies and tones of the Alto Sax , Congas and Chimes, and Electro-Voodoo Bass lines, be sure to know that you’ll have the chance to Skygaze into a blissful state of entertainment.

Arriving in Los Angeles in 2011 Skygazers have performed for many private and public events. The House of Blues, Catalina Jazz Club, 2nd St Jazz Club, Grand Star Jazz Club, Barnsdall Park 44th Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser for the Sunset Free Clinic, Loyola Marymount University, “God has a Plan for Me” Talent show, “It’s a Talented Summer” at Park LaBrea, Danny’s in Venice Beach, GBI’s Memorial for Mr. Lou Myers at The Stinky Rose in Beverly Hills, The Warehouse in the Marina ,Rusty’s Surf Ranch Emerging Artist competition at the Santa Monica Pier, etc.
