Ultrea / Bio

Ultrea is a hard rock band from Madison, WI. We are a band that seeks to bring more positivity into our world. You can expect heavy pummeling to light and beautiful riffs, mixed with harmonic vocals and expressional screams. All in hopes to awaken the soul and to make people feel again. Our world has become full of burden and dishonesty, and we hope to make a lasting change in the people who listen to our message.
Our influences range anywhere from Top 40 rock, to post hardcore metal to ambient soundscapes. We write our music to be dynamic and relatable. To pull you in and make you feel again. This can be heard on our previously released E.P. Always Persevere. Which was written, recorded and mastered by our own members.
Ultrea means, to always persevere. And this is what we strive to do as a band, despite life's many obstacles. Our goal is to create and share our music with positive messages as far and wide as possible. We have been compared to bands such as Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Halestorm and In This Moment. We have been fortunate to have opened for many great acts already. Bands like Sevendust, Lacuna Coil, Hed PE, In This Moment, Wicked Wisdom, CAVO, Another Lost Year and many more!
The band was started in March of 2012, and hasn't slowed down since! Ultrea is Jen (Lead vocals) Greg (Lead guitar) Jason (Bass) Bryan (Drums) and Kyle (Rhythm guitar). We are currently recording new material for Spring 2014 release. You can get our current releases on all online retailers. And you can follow us on most all online sites! We will see you soon! ALWAYS PERSEVERE ~Ultrea
