I've been playing some type of four stringed instrument since I was in the fourth grade. I started playing the cello and played that all through high school. I still have one laying around somewhere but it rarely sees the light of day. I got my first bass guitar when I was in high school and started messing around with some friends. We started a little garage band but never really got serious about it. After high school I got together with a few really close friends and we tried to make a go of things but due to "creative differences" we ended up breaking up. I didn't pick up an instrument for a little while after that. Then I missed it and got talked into picking up my bass and/or guitar again just to pick around. That just fueled my fire and I've been building momentum ever since.
I really like playing Tool and have been completely obsessed with them since first hearing them. Justin is one of my biggest influenses. I also like playing other rock songs, hell, just about anything that people like to listen to.
I'm currently looking for a new gig. Something steady with some serious and dedicated musicians. I'd really like to be able to practice at least once a week and play out maybe twice a month.
I've also started doing some home recording and hope to grow this into a real thing. I'm interested in working with a lot of the local talent and to help get all of our music out into the world.
