As a performer, writer and owner of the JG Talent Network, I see both sides of the music business.
I'm a backup singer and manager for Jesse Garron's Tribute to Elvis. Being a part of the band is a great experience, because we get to perform for thousands of people nationwide. I also get to work with my husband and daughter who share my love for music. My son plays guitar and occasionally co-writes my original songs.
When not singing with the Elvis group I sing with The Acoustic Jam, an acoustic cover band that features 3-part harmonies.
I wrote my first song in 2003. My originals have been considered highly marketable and have earned awards in various categories in the Song of the Year contest, an international songwriting competition and supporter of VH1. "Get Away" earned "Suggested Artist" status, "What Life Is About" earned "Runner Up" and "Legacy" earned Honorable Mention. My latest award was the best so far. I was a semi-finalist for my lyrics submission of "She's Given Up". I also have forwards to music libraries for TV/film placement consideration and am in the process of recording my first CD.
