A classic Rock and Blues Band
Working Class Band is a five piece group that performs a brand of music that has been influenced by years of working in the Central Florida music scene. With tastes of rock-n-roll, jazz, and the blues to spice up the soup, WCB puts on a lively performance with a mix of classic hits and cool favorites from past decades. Fans love the honest and soulful lead vocals and harmonies, the soaring guitars and keyboards, set on top of one of Central Florida’s finest rhythm sections. Even after a hard day's work, folks enjoy hanging around for that last set. WCB never runs out of great tunes, and puts out 100% until last call.
Greg Went: guitar, lead vocals, and musical director
Greg has spent a long career in the music industry as a talented local guitarist/ vocalist. Now a day he keeps a full schedule teaching guitar and leading WCB. From 2000 to 2011 he performed full time with the hometown favorite KGB Band. Prior to that, Greg founded Live Wire; a power trio covering the classics from Hendrix to Stevie Ray. Throughout the mid to late 80’s Greg was touring the nation with Concourse, a band covering a huge variety of pop-rock tunes.
Doug Harmon: guitar and lead vocals
The love of music is evident in this talented hometown native as he stays engaged in every word sung and every note played. Doug was founder of the group Who Hit Willie in the late 90's and co-founder of the revisited Blue Sedan in 2009. Earning a reputation as a hard worker, Doug has settled in nicely with this awesome line-up of fellow musicians as one of the founders of the WCB.
Brian Kupfer: keyboards, guitar, and vocals
Brian is a Winter Park native and one of the founders of the Split Personality Band (1993 to 2011) covering classic rock and blues. Before that he resided in Gainesville working area nightclubs in the band Driver. The son of a locally well-known classical piano teacher, Brian grew up in an eclectic musical household. Today he relies on this foundation to mix in jazzy blues, rock-n-roll and sweet harmonies to add a greater depth to the musicality of the group.
Mike Teague: bass guitar
This accomplished musician, solid like an old hickory tree, has been in love with music since his childhood days in Georgia. Finding his way to Orlando in the late 70’s, Mike has since been laying down classic rock tunes in nightclubs from coast to coast with some of Central Florida’s finest musicians. Mike is well-rounded and so smooth as a musician. He can play most anything thrown at him, but is never over the top and is always in the pocket.
Dan Curtis: drums
A true pocket drummer, this local, seasoned musician really sets the bar. For the past ten years Dan has played drums for the Split Personality Band in area nightclubs. Before that, this talented guy worked as a session drummer for various local artists mostly on the East coast. In addition to being an avid surfer, he always lifts WCB with impeccable timing.
