LongShadow was born from the ashes of Woodshed and The McKibben Brothers Band, and played mostly in Kokomo, IN in 2005 and 2006 before reforming this year after the return of Shawn Connolly from Florida. Ron and McKibben have been writing and playing together since 1985 when Dave showed Ron his first chords on an old classical. The Two McKibben Brothers honed their chops and earned their stripes in the Bloomington band Fingers and Sunshine. Fingers and Sunshine, as well as their next combo, Folkus, were played many times on WTTS Shows Over Easy and the Hoosier Daily Three.
The elder McKibbens and Shawn Connolly are joined by Daves son Tony from DAM playing bass.
Since the above was written, A new rhythm section has moved in replaceing Shawn Connolly and Tony McKibben. Guy Chapel now plays drums for us, and Eric Andrews is our bassist.
We neglected to mention an opening gig with Rusted root in 1995, and a shot with the Devon Allman band on March 1, 2013. We now have a pressing of a demo, with two out of the four tunes posted right here on ReverbNation. One of the tunes here is an analog version of the song Sailin' from 2005.
