Johnny Switchblade / Bio

Johnny Switchblade is a concept, originally named "Jump the Gun". Formed in July 2011 in Liberty, Missouri, this band is the literal definition of a garage band. Starting out, occasional jam sessions were held in a small garage, and this paved the way for what is known today as Johnny Switchblade. This band contains determined, disciplined individuals who are eager to deliver a powerful message with their music; new-age music with a certain 1970's/80's classic punk era throwback twist.

In October 2012, Johnny Switchblade recorded their first demo, entitled "The Basement Cut". It was released in late December 2012. This was followed up by their next releases, the "Know Your Rights!" EP and the "Bad Influence" single, both released to the public in January 2014 after being world premiered on the High Voltage Rock N Roll Radio Show (90.1 FM KKFI) hosted by Calvin Cotton.

Johnny Switchblade has played a number of venues, including The Granada, Davey's Uptown Ramblers Club, Jackpot Music Hall, and many others, including some house party performances.
