Born in Baltimore, MD, I've always had a connection to the mechanics of music and songwriting. Music was always there when I was happy, sad, angry, in love and in life. I started singing in church choirs when I was young, and was afforded the opportunity to participate in choir competitions. Marvin Thompson, from the brass ensemble Mo'Horns, heavily influenced me in 5th grade to give it a try and played successfully for a few years. I then found interests in piano and percussion, playing for church choirs during my teen years. I took a long break from music, venturing into engineering, but it wasn't too long before my passion for music rose fagain rom the ashes like the Phoenix. I picked up the sticks again, gaining my momentum in music, playing for my current church, Word Alive Christian Fellowship in Baltimore, MD. During that time my fingers were still itching for the ivories, so I would practice piano on the side. through what I know is divine guidance, the tables were turned in which I had to jump the percussion ship to board the deluxe cruise of the keyboard, serving as minister of music there for a little over 5 years now. I was afforded the opportunity to accomplish an independent study of music and world culture at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where my knowledge of music songwriting skills skyrocketed. I love to draw from other ethnic and various subcultures from the U.S, all around the world as a songwriting tool, check out "L'amour Brise". I'm constantly discovering and growing as I am always a student of life and music, and anticipate greater things to come. PLEASE, by all means, check out my music, enjoy, let me know what you think...GREG
