Eulogy was started in Feb of 1992 by Vocalist Dirk Ronson, and Bassist Mike Johnston. They soon recruited guitarist Jamie George and drummer Dave Drabeck and by the end of 1992 they had set there sound and started playing small venues and bars in the local Columbus, Ohio scene. They started with covers from bands such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Zeppelin, & Queen. They added other bands such as Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and others throughout 1994-1995. In 1995 Eulogy had an opportunity for a recording contract with Island records but failed to deliver as their drummer was in and out of drug rehab, so soon after they replaced him with current drummer Brian Stye. 1997 saw the release of their first and second albums recorded at Rome recording studios in Columbus, Ohio, but was only an amateur type of release, no labels were involved. The band disband in 1998 as their guitarist died from a cocaine overdose and they gave up. In January of 2012, Eulogy decided to re-form adding a friends son Josh Barrett to the lineup on Guitars and have started recording 2 tracks and have been signed to Asylum Productions, an Ohio based Label whom is growing rapidly and currently has John Q. Public, Asylum, Michael Fisher, & others on their roster lineup. Enjoy as Eulogy brings back some of their 1990's tracks for you to hear and new works for their upcoming cd!
