Born and raised in Miami, Florida Anna Palmerola is an artist of Cuban descent with a passion and talent that are undeniable. A graduate of the University of Miami Frost School of Music majoring in Jazz Voice and Music Business, Anna has developed many skills and knowledge as a singer/songwriter that set her apart from many in the industry today. She is an active entertainer always bringing energy, sass, and charisma to her performances. Anna has performed in different music festivals, clubs, and other venues around South Florida such as Blue Martini, Bardot, The Stage, Carnival on the Mile, Florida Grammy Showcase, South Beach Food and Wine Festival, Sony Ericsson tennis games and many more. She has always been drawn to music and exposed herself to all styles of music from musical theatre and jazz to Latin and R&B.
Anna has performed amongst many great musicians. She has had the opportunity to perform with great jazz artists such as Tierney Sutton, Carmen Lundy, and Nicole Yarling. She also performed with Jon Secada and Patti Austen as part of a Dave Grusin concert in the Arsht Center, and was recently recognized for her talents on Perez Hilton’s personal blog that is visited worldwide by thousands of pop culture fans. Anna has also had the privilege to collaborate with local South Florida bands such as The Politix and The Problem Kids. “I love collaborating. It’s a chance to support other musicians in Miami and bring our talents together, which is so special. Especially with The Problem Kids, I’ve had the opportunity to perform live and record some great music. They are like my brothers.”
Currently, Anna’s main focus is working on her first EP titled “Chapter One” with Miami Grammy-award winning producer Juan Cristobal Losada, who has worked with acts like Black Violin and Edwin Bonilla. “I am beyond excited about my new project. This is my formal introduction into the music world as an original, solo artist and I want to give it all I’ve got.” Anna is exploring many different styles for the EP, which is heavily pop/electronic based with hints of dance, R&B, and Latin. “I want to show people my versatility and just write some hot pop records!” Chapter One has been a labor of love for Anna, as she has been co writing on the tracks and is releasing the whole project independently. “This EP all of me. I want to give back this part of me to all my supporters and to new fans on the horizon. I’ve had my hand in all aspects of this project, which is really important to me.”
Anna Palmerola’s EP is now available on iTunes and other outlets. With performances scheduled in popular Miami venues such as Bardot and a music video for her single "How Does it Feel" on Vevo (directed by LA based director, Miguel Ferrer), she is working on scheduling more live shows and appearances around South Florida and beyond to promote the beginning of this chapter.
