Jordan River Band is an adult contemporary, classic rock and blues band from the Raleigh, NC area. This “crossover” band plays a wide variety of classic music from the 70's to the present, including. The musical diversity of each band member’s background allows for great original material along with many popular cover songs with messages of hope, love and faith. They have crafted a sound that keeps true to classic rock, but adds a fresh element that makes their music relevant to today's listener.

Lorraine Jordan is the bass player and band leader. She has traveled as a professional musician for the past twelve years. She is an award winning recording artist and has worked with some of the top record labels in the business such as Rural Rhythm Records, Blue Circle Records, and Pinecastle Records. She has played venues with Ricky Skaggs, The Osborne Brothers, Marty Raybon and Shenandoah, and many well known artists. She has two International Recorded Event of the Year Awards to her credit.
Benny Latino, a New Orleans saxophone player, was raised on rhythm & blues, jazz and gospel. Some of his saxophone influences include Hank Crawford, John Coltrane, Jr. Walker, ands Stan Getz. He has played with such artists as Percy Sledge, Lenny McDaniels, Jerry Butler, Martha Reeves, and Gene Chandler. Benny performs annually at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with Luther Kent & Trick Bag.
Paul G. Barton brings decades of experience on guitar and vocals to the band. He has played venues with many well-known rock bands and works full time as a recording engineer and musician. Originally from the greater New York City area, Paul has been a songwriter, a producer, a radio broadcaster, and an international business consultant, but his favorite role is still just plain old Dad. Playing Rock n' Roll comes in at a pretty close second, though.
John Oswald plays lead and rhythm guitar, lead and backing vocals. John has spent years perfecting his craft and is a true master with the Les Paul classic rock sound. It's rare to find someone who can get the tones John can from his playing style. He brings much creative originality to the band. John spent many years playing in a contemporary praise band at Garner United Methodist Church.
Jeff Abate has been hitting things with sticks since 1988. The latest addition to the group, Jeff has played in a variety of bands through the years, first in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA and for the past few years as a member of a three piece blues band in Raleigh/Durham. Jeff's influences stretch from hard rock to fusion jazz to Motown and blues rock.
