I have had a passion to sing as far back as I can remember. I come from a musical family and was active in choir in school from 7th grade to 12th. I studied with Denver’s amazing local vocal expert, Dr. L. Scott Martin for several years and received my vocal teaching certificate under him. I have performed in many local venues in Denver and Longmont, noteably Dickens Opera House, The Mercury Cafe , Shakespeare’s, Ziggie’s and have shared the stage with Tempa and the Tantrums, The Clamdaddy’s, Steven David, John Pike, Bobby Trujillo and Les James among others. I began writing songs at about 17 and have written and co-written many songs over the years have had the good fortune to have some of them recorded. I am working on a recording project with my very talented guitar player and writing partner, Steve Arrington. .
For me singing is almost as necessary as breathing. I love to express and communicate the song and to be, once in a while. a part of the magic that happens when it all comes together in the love of the music. I call that pure joy.
