The Beladeans / Bio

Soul-Shakin' Riff-Rock.

When The Beladeans play, people MOVE, dance, rock out, mosh, what have you, but nobody stands still.

Our 'sound' could be described as a modern/vintage blend of Northwest Garage Rock (The Sonics & The Wailers) with the raw Soul grooves of greats like Ike Turner and the Stax Records lineup. Influences include 50's Rock N ' Roll, early 60's Soul, The Rockford Files, blues players on the back porch and sassy smokey clubs. We love to mix up our catchy vocal refrains with infectious instrumentals.

We have some impressive gigs under our belt, playing with such acts as The Jim Jones Revue, Bob Log III, The Bell Rays, King Khan & BBQ and The Pack, and events for the Humane Society, the 2012 Women in Film Festival Gala and CBC's 2011 Musical Nooner's series. We’ve rocked the roof off of Neptoon Records, the Railway Club, The Columbia Theatre and countless venues on more than one occasion. We love to play. Windows shake and people smile.

Our music has also been featured in numerous film and television programs including the films Romeo Killer, Marilyn, Primeval: New World, the upcoming film Lawrence and Holloman and more.

Our Youtube Channel shows our swagger well.
