Oak Bones is Brian Miller and Eric Scharver. After meeting in high school they spent nearly 10 years apart. During that time both members immersed themselves in music, fun, and trouble. One in Detroit. One in Chicago. In June 2011 Miller moved home to Michigan, where they’d reunite and form the band.
Miller and Scharver take on writing duties, often preforming them as a duo. On any given night you might see Mike Berger (Bass) and Patrick Fitzgibbon (Drums). Oak Bones have an of old American sound. Strong lyrics and catchy hooks drive most of their work. They go between sweet balladry and rowdy foot stompers showing you they are as troubled as they are elated. There is a sense of inclusiveness to their performances, and chances are you’ll stay and become a part of the family.
