It all started with 2 guys 2 acoustics a fender 15r and a shared love of 90’s rock. A year and a half later it has transformed into a 5 piece that covers anything from Skynyrd to Rebelution and has originals that are in the form of Reggae/Punk/Ska. Originality and energy are the keys to Simple Jacks music and this is what inspires each one of us.
Simple Jack fully formed in December of 2011 when Bassist Tyler Hargrove, Lead Guitarist Chris Supik and Drummer Brian Gummere joined Rythym Guitarist Jarrod White and Vocalist Shaun Miller. They immediately started working on the covers that Jarrod and Shaun had been playing but quickly realized that their style is more suitable for Reggae/Punk in the styles of Sublime, Pepper, The Expendables and Slightly Stoopid. They continued covering rock songs, but the originals began to take form starting with their first song called The Way You Move.
Simple Jacks first gigs began at The Boston Ale and Tale located off of Colonial Boulevard, since then they have become a regular on the Beached Whales Schedule for Monday nights, a monthly fixture at Nemo’s on the Beach; and periodically fill in at the Tiki Bar in San Carlos Park. Simple Jack also performs all originals at Rackem’ Billiards in Cape Coral generally twice a month and lately played Music Walk in Downtown Fort Myers and performed in the Fort Myers Beach Saint Patricks Day Parade.
Simple Jack’s Plans for the next year is to buckle down and finish writing their first album after season is over and hit the studio. They would like to add 2-3 nights a week on their calendar as well since live performance where they thrive.
