Alisa Jefferson is very passionate about music as a singer/songwriter and bass player. She grew up in the Midwest listening to classic rock, 80's pop and 90's alternative rock, electronica/pop.
She put together what would be her first three-piece original band in the early 1990’s as a singer and bassist for Morning Fix. The band played many venues throughout Kansas and Missouri and even recorded a demo including six songs. Over the past several years, She has been working with others on various projects singing leads and harmonies as well as playing bass.
She has many influences including but not limited to early classics such as Heart, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Pat Benatar, The Prentenders, Eurythmics, Stevie Nicks, Blondie, Melissa Etheridge and Quarterflash, to 90’s bands such as Concrete Blonde, 4 Non Blondes, The Breeders, The Cranberries, Hole, NY Loose, Sonic Youth, and Nirvana. And more currently, Silversun Pickups, Metric, The Joy Formidable, Halestorm, Flyleaf,Paramore, Adele, Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, and most recently Bruno Mars, etc.
Alisa has been working on writing and self-recording several original songs while singing leads in a new 80s cover band based in Kansas City,"About Last Night" and was recently selected as lead singer for The M80s, a well known 80s cover bands in KC.
